DARICK ROBERTSON Darick W. Robertson is an artist from San Mateo, California, United States.
Robertson is perhaps most renowned as the artist and co-creator of Transmetropolitan. His entry into comics began with Space Beaver, a cult classic written and illustrated shortly after graduating high school and published by Ten-Buck Comics. Other titles featuring his art can be seen in the comic books New Warriors, The Punisher origin limited series Born, Fury MAX, as well as assorted issues of Justice League, Spider-Man, and on a number of Malibu Comics titles.
In 2001, he signed an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics and relaunched Wolverine with writer Greg Rucka at the #1 spot in May of 2002. After 19 issues of Wolverine, and with Rucka's departure to DC Comics, he was taken off the comic and given a position as the penciller on Nightcrawler, eventually contributing cover artwork as well. The Nightcrawler series ended in November of 2005 with issue 12. Robertson then went on to do a limited series with previous collaborator Garth Ennis entitled Fury: Peacemaker. In March 2006, he announced he was leaving Marvel to create his own comic with Ennis called The Boys, which was published for six issues by Wildstorm before being cancelled. However, DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT is stated to have since picked up the title.
